Parabon Computation, a veteran provider of grid computing solutions that enable high-performance computation on demand, today announced its participation at the Emerging Technologies for Defense Applications event on October 27 in Arlington, Virginia at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City. This invitation only event is presented by DOD Network Information and Integration (NII)/DoD CIO, Acquisition Technology & Logistics (AT&L) and hosted by 1105 Government Information Group.
The interactive event will bring together vendors and researchers with DoD and government agencies. The program will include cutting-edge research and development from leading emerging technology vendors identified by the DoD CIO as suppliers who can adapt forward-thinking, non-traditional defense applications to support critical mission needs. Identified as one of these vendors, Parabon staff will be demonstrating the Frontier® Grid Platform, which securely and unobtrusively harnesses the unused capacity of several thousand computers within an organization and delivers it as a high-performance utility computing service.
“Parabon is honored to have received an invitation to participate in the Emerging Technologies for Defense Applications event next week,” stated Steven Armentrout, Parabon President and CEO. “The confidence that the DoD has placed in our forward thinking grid computing technology is clearly evidenced by this unique opportunity. We look forward to sharing information about how our Frontier Grid Platform solution can help increase mission success effectively and securely.”
150 plus military professionals are expected to attend the event with invitations being extended by DoD. Keynote speakers include the Honorable John J. Young, Jr., Under Secretary of Defense, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Acquisition Technology & Logistics; and Dr. Michael Wertheimer, Assistant Deputy Director, Analytic Transformation and Technology, Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
